Chip the Chocolate Bear's Surprise Party

Sweet Ville, home of the Sweet Bears,

Is a land full of lush cupcakes, and candy, light as air.

The paths are dark chocolate, with a yummy nutty swirl,

Which lead up to houses, shaped of cupcakes, with rich chimney twirls.

Mint flavoured cupcake trees sway in the breeze,

While the lollypop frosted flowers bask in the sun, attracting honeybees.

Chip the Chocolate Bear has a warm and loving soul,

Who likes to walk with his friends to the nearby watering hole.

His best friend is Riana, the Rainbow Bear,

Who is ever so colourful, happy, and dresses with flair

Chip lives with his mum Sadie, dad Luther, and sister Mary too,

Who make living at home as crazy as a zoo!

Mum Sadie is a pretty, kind woman that loves to bake,

While dad Luther is strong, yet gentle, and likes to fish on the lake.

Sister Mary however, is anything but nice,

Who likes to pick fights with Chip and give him bad advise.

Mary and Chip wait for the bright yellow bus,

Led by the surly, bearded bus driver known to everyone as Gus.

The bus arrives, and Mary and Chip jump in,

And they head off to the Little Bear School, so their day can begin.

At twelve o’clock, the bell rang for lunch,

And Chip looked for his friends, who were all huddled in a bunch.

Chips friends were whispering, so Chip could not hear,

About all the plans for his birthday, which was drawing near.

Chip could not figure out why,

His friends were talking about cupcakes and pie.

The after lunch bell rang, and decided not to worry,

For he needed to get back to class, but was not in a hurry.

After the long, hard day at school, Mary and Chip return,

And Chip is becoming increasingly concerned.

For it is his birthday at the end of the week,

With no plans already, he is starting to shriek!

Chip’s mum has arranged, without his knowledge,

A huge Surprise Party for him at Sugar Bear Cottage.

Invitations were mailed out to family and friends,

In the hope that all could attend.

For it will be an awesome day full of fun and adventure,

With a pirate theme and hidden treasure.

Everyone is to dress up as Pirates and Wenches,

And enjoy a banquet feast out on the tabled benches.

There will be a scrumptious treasure chest cake,

As well as tasty pirate, pirate ship and gold bullion cupcakes.

Games will be had, including a treasure hunt and capture the flag,

Face body painting, and individual party bags.

To keep Chip from knowing about the party,

Chip’s mum told him they were going to do something arty.

When they arrived, he was not expecting such cries,

When everyone jumped out from hiding to shout “Surprise!”

All of Chip’s family and friends were there,

Including Lilly the yellow Lemon Bear and Paige the Pink Strawberry bear.

Oscar the Orange Jaffa Bear, Roxie the Red Velvet Red Bear,

Gino the Grey and Black Cookies and Cream Bear,

Louis the Lime Green Bear, Piper the Purple Blackberry Bear,

Billie the Blueberry Blue Bear, Suzie the Vanilla Chocolate Smartie Pants Bear,

And last but not least, Riana the Rainbow Bear.

To conclude the celebrations and party game fun,

Everyone danced to music, then said goodnight one by one.
