The Gymnosolitude of ArgnemdúlA Poem by Solace DescendingThis is my first poem. As such, it is bound to be flawed. But as with everything in life, practice and time shall refine and improve it.Leaden mists
envelope desolate land, As I, wraithlike,
struggle ever forward. The somber air,
laden with the waters Of lamentation,
like a sea of pain, Hangs in the air,
gilded not by the sun. ‘Will there be
solace, breeze of comfort come, To this dark wood,
and heart of an even More darkling hue,’
my heart asks as I go. Then, in this gray,
I perceived beauty, girded By drear cloak of
storm and cold and shadow. Is not jewel hidden
beneath dismal stone? Or riches within
the dragon’s foul lair? Can clouded skies
be really so bad if Grey doth be the
presence of all colors? © 2015 Solace DescendingAuthor's Note
