Social Media

A Poem by Joey Nizz
"

Social media misuse.

"
I think we're all walking along the wrong road
They say what's fake is real and what's real is fake woke
False prognosticator Dishonest prophets we see everywhere we go
But hey what did you expect when dumb people got smart tablets or smart phones
More posts, more memes? cool they make it all a big joke
Crown your fake kings and queens and let them sit up on their fake thrones
Your young now but wait until you grow old
When life gets serious and real you'll remember what you read right here where I wrote
I went rounding and roaming walked multiple roads on different ways
For 31 nights 31 sleeps yes multiple days
Its like in the dry desert no food no water just searching for the answers
But listening to these people these bloggers who got nothing to say
You wouldn't know real if it slapped you right in the face
Ain't for the culture I can tell by the s**t you embrace
I'm on the social media but my minds in a different place
So damn your co-signs, money, and your post plays
I would be shaking when I'm writing these lines
I've been anti-violent but don't push me 'cause I just might do it
They won't give you no credit 'cause they know you'll use it
And that's what happens when the master starts fearing the student
In this app or site you're just a number they don't see you as human
Just a puppet they replace for their games and amusement
In a Social platform full of angels with the biggest influence
I see demons with a platform who just f*****g abuse it

On social media..

Everybody knows everybody If you ain't got a thousand followers you ain't anybody
Redo, repeat, sleep, double tap, see copy
Lost souls unaware they're turning into dead scrolling zombies
Everywhere your eyes go you see only plastic all fabricated
Everything you see on social media was exaggerated
No body notices and no by sees you until you pay and get a million followers and when you do they treat you like someone's and your finally validated
Hey!
What do you do?
Who do you know?
What do you drive?
How much money you make?
Where do you stay!?
While your answering those questions
They'll be calculating how much of it they can see them selves trying to come and take
If your fragile don't even try to go up there to sign up and log in into this place
they're gon' build you up just to break you then rebuild you to break
And then let you reach your own limit then heroically save
And that's how the social media turns you into a slave..

On social media..

Everyone goes on and they just lose their minds followed by their souls
'Cause they cant control on social media
everyone lies
Its an eye for an eye
You will lose your sight and mind on social media
Everyone goes on and they just lose their minds followed by their souls 'Cause they cant control on social media

Nobody's from here
But everybody comes here
Posting and waiting to be famous
Until they realize the price of fame brings everything that they once or always fears
From rejections and humiliations
Consumed by the algorithm it becomes clear
Behind the social platform is a life's that's a simulation that's controlled by a puppeteer
Blind people leading blind people driving cars
To destinations that are unclear while they cant hit the breaks nor steer
1 year?
2 year?
3 year?
4!?
Drugs alcohol addiction then the morgue
Fake back stabbing friends and women gold digging for amusement as a sport
On social media who convinces you should live a life you cannot afford
Nobody sees you your only continuously ignored
Everybody wants fame they don't care or know what's it for
They don't wanna build theirs
They just tryna take yours
This is eat or be eaten in this messed up world

You think you need this place but you don't
Happiness is not a digital place you call home
Did you ever wonder why you feel like you feel
When you take that time away from your smart phone
Fake s**t always goes viral we know this wont
They say they care but will never show
Social media isn't a place you call home its a mind state
Watered by the thoughts that manifest what you grow..
