Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Joey Nizz

Watching the propeller thrusting through the waves beneath the clouds
Watching every raindrop flickering black and white
Remembering you from back at the lands ground
Right there, with disturion cloaking your mind
I'm didn't even partioly apologize

I should apologize for now
That I was'nt even around
Sometimes things deny
To go the way we have always prepared for
But I really do apologize for the time being, right now
That I couldnt be there for you now
But there will be a day
That you will be able to understand
When the time comes you will understand

After sometime you will leave it all behind and forget
But just incase the memory, our memory corsses your mind
You did not know this when I left
Right under the burning fire in your bittered eyes
I never wanted to say goodbye

But do remember,
In everyroom we shared in our time together theres a box of memories shared
And nows the time to pack it all away
With sorrow and care

At first it was nothing but a smile
Whenever I rememered the thought of you
Tidily sealed in my mind as an envalop
Its the best that I could do

After are all of the memories
Of the times when we were two
Wrapped with one another by the cacoon of love simply as one
Sealed with salty tears that became as glue

And then there are the butterflies
I had for you when you were near
Now in a jail of sadness
Locked up with a tear

After are the times when we emraced with a kiss
Each one of us wraped with a sigh
Planted right next to a folded list
Of all of the times I've asked myself why?

And now to gather and pack the pieces of my heart
Gathered in a pile
Each one wrapped up delicately
And fixed next to a distant smile

Atlast all of the broken wishes
Placed in softly so no more can break
Making them over and over again trying not to cry
So they would not all ache

In the end just me walkin around each room
Shutting each and every curtain
Locking each and every door
Leavung behind each and every pain

Collecting and gathering the memories once shared
Making damn sure I've collected them all
Keeping them safely because I truly cared
Leaving them in a box right across the hall

To laud memories and how each moment becomes valued until its dead in the past but keep reliving the memories they never truly die out. I loved the line 'Now in a jail of sadness
Locked up with a tear." The rawness, potency of pain in each line wrapped up so delicately it becomes enduring throughout the poem. William Blake said once " He who binds to himself a joy, Does the wing life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies, Lives in Eternity sunrise." Eternity sunrise that metaphoric beginning of something like joy and beauty, that has no beginning and no end. Keep writing sincerely your friend in poetry and life

I like the words you have describe.. read more
Very good, describing the memories as being carefully packed, a very familiar image that we all share. People can let go of each other but those memories remain.
