The Single Step

Just imagine it, imagine that life is a play which you play certain acts on stage. Your identity, friends and family, health and financial status and spirits and etc..

and your keeping all of these on stage.

In the near future, you will understand that work is a tool such as a ball, if you let it go it'll bounce back, but the other tools, family and friends, health and financial status and spirits and etc, are made out of glass.

if you let it go of one of these they will certainly change, break, damage and even shatter like the glass and they will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance and tranquility in your life.

How you may ask?

Never weaken your value and worth by just comparing yourself with others and what  they have and they have done.

We are all different, and we are all special in our own way, some are special in different way than others and in different ways than you and that doesn't make you any less special.

Never set your dreams and goals by what others around you consider important.

Only you know whats important and whats best for you.

Never take for granted the things that are the closest to you and to your heart.

Attach yourself to them as you attach yourself your very life as if without them life is useless and meaningless.

Never let your very life slips through your grasp by dwelling in your past for your future. live your life one day at a time so you can live all of the days in your life without looking back in regret.

Never give up when you still have something to give. Nothings over until you stop trying.

Never be scared or too afraid to admit that your not perfect. None of us are but it is this very thin thread that connects us to each other together.

Never worry or be afraid of the risks you may encounter. It is by taking these chances and risks that we can learn how to be a strong foundation.

Never shut love out of your life by saying its absurd or that its never meant for you or to find the time for it, The fastest and quickest way to obtain love is to give.

Never race or rush through life as fast that it will make you forget not just where you have been, but also where your going to be.

Never forget, a persons greatest need to feel good about them selves is to be appreciated.

Never be afraid to learn, knowledge is not heavy at all, its treasures ca be carried easily throughout your lives journey.

Never use your words or your time heedlessly and carelessly, neither can be retrieved nor repaired.

Life is not a long race but a beautiful journey to b appreciate and enjoy each step you take of the way of the journey.

Never wait for everything to be perfect before you decided to live and enjoy your life.

A journey with a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

You convey many important aspects to achieving balance in life but your writing isn't very balanced to my way of thinking. It sounds very preachy to me. I think it would be so much easier to absorb your lessons if you presented them in a less "lecture" & "unequivocal" tones, which make it seem as tho you have all this mastered & you want to help the rest of us bumbling idiots. Some people like a "to-do" list, but most people don't. We all have to learn our lessons in our own ways. Your lessons could be more palatable if you presented this in the form of about 20 or 30 vignettes, showing us what YOU went thru & how YOU learned something from it. This approach may make inspirational writing more inspirational & less preachy. You have excellent ideas & insights. But you can't change people overnight with a long list of things we should be doing. Nobody likes being told how to live our lives. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you Margie for your thoughts, and yes i cant really tell people what to do but some people are lost and dont really know what to so maybe if i wrote something that can open their eyes then im glad that i did it and i know that my way of writing is unusual but i hope people will get my message like how you did.

As someone who spent most of my life in the "severely broken" state of mind, I can say that it doesn't feel very good when someone comes off thinking he/she can fix me. It's taken all my life to get here & you are not seeing this right if you think you can fix people, no matter how badly they are broken, just by telling them to shape up!
