RememberA Poem by Joey NizzForget every good that you did As soon as you have done it Forget the praise that occurs to you The second you have gained it Forget the smear that you hear Before you can repeat it Forget each affront, each enmity, each chiffon Wherever you may meet it. Remember every goodness done To you, whatever its quantifies Remember the praise by the rest received And send it with delight Remember every promise made And keep it by the word, to the letter Remember those who granted you aid And be a thankful debtor Remember all of the joy That arrives your way in existing Forget each anxiety and agony Be sparing and hopeful Remember the truth, remember the good Remember the Heaven's above you And you will find, through age and space True great happiness and souls to love you.
