The Girl With No Sight

The Girl With No Sight

A Story by Joey Nizz

There was a little girl, this girl had nothing good going on in her life, she was poor and homeless and to make things worse she was also born blind.
She sat on a pavement right down the street with a raggedy hat right in front of where she was sitting, she had a sign that said: "I'm blind, please help" there was maybe one or two coins in her hat.

A young man happened to pass by, he noticed the little blind girl and he took a few coins out of his pockets and added them to the ones that were already there. He later took the little girls sign and turned it around and wrote a few words. He put the sign back where it was so everyone who would pass can see the new sign.

And soon the raggedy hat started to fill up more and more with each passer, so many people were giving coins and bills to the little blind girl.

Later in the afternoon, the same man who have changed the sign came back just to see how things have changed because he has changed the sign. The girl recognized him by the sound of the footsteps his shoes made, she asked him, "were you the one who picked up my sign and changed something in it this morning? please sir what did you write?

The man smiled and said: "I only wrote the truth, I said what you have said originally but in a different way. "I wrote, today is such a beautiful day, but I cannot see it."

You see, both of the signs said that the little girl was blind, but the first sign simply said that the girl was blind. But the second sign told the people that they were lucky that they were not blind, and that they can see the beautiful day that they are living in.
Should you be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

The moralistic thing about the story is that,
You should be thankful for what you have and what you got. Be innovative, be creative. Think outside of the box, think differently and positively. when your life gives you a thousand reasons to cry, just fight back by showing life that you have a million reasons to smile!
Face your past without any regret, prepare for your future without any fear, believe in your self and keep the faith and drop the fears.

One of the most beautiful things in the world is to see a person smile, specially those who are in need. And even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Just think about it... God can be anywhere in the vast universe, and he chose your heart.
