Ugly

Ugly

A Story by Joey Nizz

It was just then when I felt a familiar tugging, felt like a tongue just playing on my ear. Ugly was playfully licking my ear, playful yet in so much pain, suffering and unmistakably dying.. it was trying to nurse from my ear lop.
I pulled her near to me, and she rested her head on the palm of my hand and turned its head up looking at me with only one of her eyes that was soaking, and from the distant I could hear the sound of her purring, so soft yet loud at the same time, you can hear her pain through each weep she shed from the great pain she is enduring, enduring but till when? Until when will she endure!? That ugly creature was scarred, the battle scars it had endured through out god knows how long and how many times, That beat down ugly kitten was only asking for a little attention, a little affliction, perhaps some tenderness and compassion.

At the same time I thought that ugly kitten was the most adorable loving creature I have ever seen!
It never tried to bite me not even once, didn't even try to scratch me or even run away  or struggle in anyway as I was holding her. The ugly kitten just looked up to me with trust, the trust in me to relieve her from her pain.

The ugly kitten died in my arms.. right before I could get her inside my own home, I sat outside holding her for a very longtime, thinking about how one deformed, scarred little stray kitten can change my opinion about what it means to have pure pureness of spirit, to love so truly and totally.
The ugly kitten taught me something, it taught me more about compassion and giving than any book, TV or radio talk shows and lectures ever could! and as of now I will always, ALWAYS be thankful, she sure had been scarred on the outside but, I was scarred on the inside, and it was time for me to move on and learn to love deeply and truly, even for the simple things in life. To give my all to those I cared for and the ones that cared for me.

There are a lot of people who want to be richer, more famous, more successful, well liked, more beautiful but not me, I will always try to be ugly.

Oh. My. God. First of all, I love a man who loves cats, and men who are sweet on kittens? I was toast before I finished the piece. She blessed you with her final breath and that you saw her beauty - well, that speaks volumes about you. She will now live forever, because you wrote about her - she is now immortal. Well done.

Yes you are absolutely correct. You're most welcome.
Wow. The message of this story is so heartbreaking, yet meaningful.
I think people can be like that, broken, ugly, and damaged, but just want attention and love. Any living being can be like that really, people, animals, even nature. It's sad to know, but it's beautiful when someone takes the time to show them the love they need.

This story was beautiful and thoughtprovoking, it really makes the reader look at themselves and their life.
It's also amazingly well written, too!
100 rating for you!
