In Memory

In Memory

A Poem by John M. Hammond
"

Sweet nothings...

"

Time with you has made things more acute.
Like a daydream coming into focus.
An occasion in creation.

Every memory made with you...
Makes me smile,
Like I was 6 again,
Playing in the rain.

Time with you is like a summer evening,
When all you want,
Is the last warming rays of the sun to touch you,
Just for a few more minutes (hours).
I prayed the day wouldn't end...it couldn't.

Sometimes in the early morning,
The thought of you brings a smile to my face.
I think of all the things that make me happy.
You are a part of those thoughts.

Clarity in the cloud of confusion of the heart
in focus for the smile remains,
and thoughts are comprehension
of true enlightenment.
Indeed.
