Hate

Hate

A Poem by J.M. Wise

Ugliness is ubiquitous,

Our hatred even more heinous.

The nation is split across race

Ignorance painted on faces.

Violence is a priority

Tearing apart society.

Differences decide who we hate

And we stop to appreciate.

Assumptions murder innocence

Our moral fabric has been spent.

But people are quick to forget

Hate goes two ways, hit after hit.
