Glimpsing GodA Poem by Jeremy BakerGlimpsing God behind the cusp of a technicolour rainbow, the colours left over from our conversation, a one-sided exchange which drew not blood but disbelieving hope.
My red, dangerous desires, my yellow fears, burnt orange anger, fresh green dreams and deep, purple-blue tears, tailed by the ultra violet promise of tomorrow,
all paraded before my eyes and soul with indistinct understanding eluding my outstretched heart, until
at last the colours dissolve and disappear. And with it, all potential, dreams and promises shrink and escape into the ether.
But at least the sun is now shining. © 2014 Jeremy BakerReviews
