For Those Without Youtube

A Poem by Jacob Locke

Amanda Todd
You lived a tragedy
Being stalked
For posting yourself
All over the net
For strangers to see

Amanda Todd
You were bullied
and beaten
For loving a boy
At fifteen and physically
Who was claimed by another

Amanda Todd
You cried out in anger
With your memoir to this world
At all this unjust behavior
With cutting and spite
For all to see

Amanda Todd
You truly lived a tragedy
All in your head
And not one person
Reached out
Their helping hand

Amanda Todd
After you were gone
We cried out in anger
We rallied
We said no more
To those who are bullied

Amanda Todd
You’re beautiful
And we never remember
The silent
The plain
the ugly

Who suffered before you
and will remain that way
even after

Author's Note

Jacob Locke
What she did was a tragedy. Losing a child or anyone to suicide is never an experience one should have. The question I am raising here is WHY is she the poster child for this when countless others have been bullied, suffered, and committed suicide for just being themselves?
