The Tale of DuskA Poem by JLily98Written from the prompt: A Sunset
Standing across the busy lives of city people
The world stops as the Ocean's salt lands on my lip As each wave hits The sun starts to hide behind the buildings Everyone tries to capture this moment In a picture, but it's nearly impossible It must be felt So as I stand here, waiting... I'm hoping you feel it too The Moon peeks out with his friends In hopes of finally seeing her But, all he is told from the clouds is "She was lovely today" Even if she never feels it The Moon vowed: "I'll die every morning trying to show her how stunning she is" He reflects off the Ocean As the Ocean blushes She knows he's in love with her Best friend Standing across the busy lives of city people The world stops as the Ocean's salt lands on my lips As each wave hits I realize I am the Ocean...
