I've always felt my poetry defined me more than anything else in life. I read that Hemingway lost all ability to write towards the end, due to health reasons. I can't imagine losing the proficiency of putting word to paper, the intellectual and creative process, gone. There's nothing better than reading about the worth a poet feels for the expression of the written word. Good to meet you, John. Thank you for such a versed and polished piece.
I see a poet exploding with words, so many that his lungs fill up with lyric, his teeth gnash, he might even bleed....you are so ready to empty your soul...and ready your pen and Bam! you can relax now...
I love this very inventive piece.. the flow, the power, the whole experience...
Warmly, B

the body poetica in the ritual of rhyme and reason - more here behind the curtain than just just a weak and unassuming man this is that powerful and tyrannical ( ? ) one that we assumed was there and now is exposed in corporeal images. enjoy the read very much - thanks for the post - carl
This is who we are, John.
This day I am wearing my t-shirt that says "Poetry is my Therapy"---
maybe at the end of the therapy lies the great poem...we all strive to write that one piece that might
make our name...yet most of us will die silently, with little ado...
and unknown.
Love this piece.
