I'll say it again and again...Synesthesia, Synesthesia, SynesthesiaA Poem by HuhSynesthesia: experiencing other senses from an unrelated sense such as sight, sound, or touch, even smell.
You touched me and athousand eyes erupted from my skin
By the very pores. Erupted like lava in an electric cosmos-creating lightning. It wasn't the cliche of electric, it was the resound of thunder. My skin knew it. The eyes blinked and as they began the world shown, And twinkled like new sparkles were disguising my perspective. So I knew your eyes, I knew they were on me Because my skin was seeing everything! It felt like respiration. Then I opened my eyes and the world was as liquid blue, As it was with them closed. There was just truth, Clear as see-through And your eyes were on me. Vision became mere compliment. I heard you and though it was few murmurs, It was long streams in my ears! Your voice sounded like happiness, Not because you were happy! Though you were And you made me happy. It sounded like happiness As bells sound like bells, ding-dong! You made me taste vanilla as we touched, because you are savory And you had my tongue salivating! Because I love you. Your proximity was touch. It was defining, I was supple to you!
