Rain On The RooftopA Poem by Jerry
Hush my darling the rain will not stop.
Be still and listen to the liquid drops. The pitter patter on our rooftop. A sweet symphony to help us pass the time as we watch the clocks. Are they tears from god? No one can truthfully say. But I like how they wash everything away. All of the dirt and filthy sin. And in the morning it will be clean again. A blank slate for us to decorate. Call it all off this is cause to celebrate. So lets use the brightest of colors. And lend a helping hand to one another. This is a opportunity, a chance to discover. So face the new day with open eyes. The past can not be all that defines our lives. The storm clouds of despair are not something to fear. Yet they are a chance for new growth, and ability to see things more clear. The rain still pours down. We lay in comfort as it soaks the ground. Content in knowing soon fresh green grass will be growing. And a clear rain fed river will be swiftly flowing. The blossoms of spring flowers will be finally opening. A explosion of color. This is our chance. © 2009 JerryFeatured Review
