Anima’s Lament

Where lies the evening star when the river sings?

Deep withing the ivy leaves and sapphire woods,

she stands in tranquil allure.

The world to behold, a chalice to replenish,

waiting longingly for distant champion’s return.

The shores of the emerald coast

remain silent as the moon resides in his abode.

Astray are the auroras of Heaven and Earth,

save the frigid shine of stars,

that will ease the lotus and give birth

from it’s center, crimson child with clover heart.

To what end has the ragged fell?

Exile of longing, oh sorrowful fate!

Torn was the evening from resurrecting hands

and returned was he to his land

where the hero’s armor gleams

giving solemn watch throughout the night.

Unconquered will, fear not the world,

this thousand-year-old psalm shall soon depart.

The river sings the forgotten tale,

cascading through the folds of time

into the embrace of Void.

Where goes the evening star?

There is more day to dawn

but Death bares the night.

The rover search continues on

and rides in twilight.
