Love unacquired

is a feeling I have grown accustom to.

Love one girl for six years and believe me, you’d know.

Yet, the feeling isn’t pain,

nor is it longing.

Life isn’t worth living without a goal,

some goal to achieve, some mountain to climb.

Maybe she is that trophy,

yet I don’t want to itemize her.

She’s more like a flowing stream,

which you can always swim with and be one with,

yet flows through your fingers and escapes your grasp.

Good thing I’m a swimmer.
