Toast to Daniel Day-Lewis

Toast to Daniel Day-Lewis

A Poem by Justin Guidroz
"

After me and my friend Zac spent 30 minutes talking about him, I felt obliged to toast him.

"

Toast to Daniel Day-Lewis
Justin Guidroz

Of all the actors to grace the stage
or be forever frozen on film,
one that should be never locked in a cage,
I feel I shall never meet him.
Eyes crazed and exaggerated movements
enthrall me to say the least.
When it comes to homicidal maniac performances,
he’s the raging beast.
So I tip my glass to you
in hopes that I may
survive a meeting in your presence,
here’s to you, Daniel Day.
