A Poem by Justin Guidroz
"

This is written as a joke to my teacher, who hates constant rhyming. So, instead of constant rhyming, the rhymes are interrupted by STOP, which was the period of telegraphs. Clever eh?

A Telegraph Home

Dear Mother,

I just got back from a signing

and all the girls kept sighing

whenever I started rhyming

STOP

I tell you, this fame is exhausting,

I cannot go down the street

without people stopping me, talking

STOP

But the country here is beautiful

where we are filming,

all the fields are flowing sheets of green

embroidered with florals of all covers

and seems of streams of deep azure

STOP

But I am afraid of my fame waning

that it will suddenly drop,

but all I can do is work my hardest

and hope that my fame does not

STOP

It was pretty clever. lol. I laughed quite a few times. The scary part is, sometimes I didn't expect the STOP even after I read it three times. Yeah, I'm not very observant. Did you show this to your teacher? Because you definitely should.
The last line was great.
