Interesting.. early frost and aging... synonymous in my line of work. and so many an early frost comes to those who do not care for their garden... I never knew much about Haiku, mysterious to me... but this works for me on many levels of interpretation... and it falls into an area of my deep knowledge, so i dont feel left out of it reading... i like this short impacting style... kinda makes you just deal with a subject matter very matter of fact... nice Joyce!

Thank you, Terry. The brevity of haiku and tanka leaves lots of "dreaming room" for the reader to co-write the poem with the poet. Much is left to the particular experience and imagination of the reader - the poet shows and should not tell the reader what to think.
