How witty, fun, and serious too. Very relatable to many here I'm sure.

There is a wonderful flow and lovely rhyme to this poem that makes your words dance upon the page. Yes, a poet can see the beauty in the ordinary and you pen it so well my friend. :) Julie

I am first in line to buy that book, Joyce! I walk around with my stomach in knots more than I care to think about. Sometimes this feels like an affliction. Sleep disturbances find me tossing at all hours. I keep a clip board loaded with paper, sharp pencils and a small flashlight next to my bed. If you don't scribble the thoughts as soon as they come, you are sure to lose them or come away with a halfway deranged version, anyway. Love this one! Angi~

My muse has been in shutdown mode for a while now. That's a big part of why I've come to WC. Need to feel inspired again. I'm hoping it works. Hope your muse gets into high gear soon, you need your rest, that's for sure. Hope you get out and get some sunshine today. "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy" - one of my favorite lines. John Denver, I think. Thanks for dropping by and leaving such a nice review.

Thank you for the kindness, though. We have learned to dance, my muse and I. For the most part, anyway. I always get my Vit. D in. I will be picking hundreds of muscadines today. My grapes have come in! John Denver always gets me smiling. You have a good day, Joyce. Angi~
Joyce, whatever whereever whenever however, forever this inspiration will come to mind, excellent write. Please put me down for an autographed copy of the book, first edition of course, Tom :)

An inventive write, fun-filled and quite serious at the same time. All writers can surely identify with this poem. The great thing about poetry is that you can write about any subject...there are no real taboos. I enjoyed the read. ~ Robert.

LOL Thanks, Jack, for your humorous and very nice review of my poem. You're lucky that your muse is so forthcoming, Jack. Mine is sleeping more than awake these days. Rather unnerving to say the least.
I believe it is all luck, Joyce.....althought I am giggling thinking about taking my imagination out for lunch....the images would surely have the bouncers ousting me from the restaurant! :) Wonderful rhythm and rhyme in this one, Joyce. Every poet will be able to identify with waking up because of an inspiration...one that will not allow you to get back to sleep till you have expressed it perfectly. I liked the humor in this one. Just a lovely package. Lydi**

Better rethink that one a bit. :-D Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I'm a bit like Short Circuit in that I'm always looking for input and yours is always of a very high quality. And one thing I know, talent has nothing to do with luck - and you were blessed with a lot of it.
