Truths

Truths

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Fall has come again
The leaves are falling down around
As so am I, into your world
A heart and future to win

The clash of friendly swords
Ring in ears, drum shattering cords
The chill of steel running into my heart
A mountain now split apart

Would you come to my rescue
If you heard of my defeat
Would you hear my truths
And tell me lies of sweet

The story of you as legend
Sent me on the quest
To love you more than I
To feel my heart beat in the chest

Would you cry for me as I say
It was you I fought for
That it was you at my heart's core
Would you tell me your truths

Would you leave me to wither
To return to dust below your booths
Would you tell me lies of sweet
Or tell me your secret truths

I do understand the poetry my friend. Somedays I want silence and somedays I want voices.
"Would you leave me to wither
To return to dust below your booths
Would you tell me lies of sweet
Or tell me your secret truths"
The above lines. Is two-sided. Maybe we must whisper the truth? Thank you J. F. Charleston for sharing the amazing poetry.
