PiecesA Poem by J. F. Charleston
Here we are
Back at the bottom Man we've come far Taken what came Pieces of a life sorrowed A lesson yet to be learnt Pieces left to rebuild Wisdom to be borrowed Here I am, back where I started This place full of peace and wonder Realizing this is where I should be I hope the tranquility never ends Pieces of a life I once knew Now lay by strange others To keep few or go new Memories play in shards Pain and loss reflected The slam of the wall The shattered mirror scattered A yearn to learn Amend broken dreams The buried truth of me To again live free The pieces of this life Lay before me, scattered A life once shattered Now set to rise © 2022 J.
