Her

Her

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

There she rides
Under the summer sun
She can take my breath
And I will run

She takes hold of me
A rope around me
A tug and a pull
I'm all hers

She takes a look at me
With a smile I can't see
Her eyes full of wonder
Waves on a bright blue sea

Her silk words
Pleasure the ear
Many fools unable to hear
Only few to comprehend

Her love is true
Her loyalty as glue
I can't deny her
I trust I'm sure

This woman I adore
Cannot come from lore
Nor some distant shore
Only from Earth's core

She's the one
I know it to be so
This journey only begun
Where we do not know

It tells a wonderful story. All of your poems do. Some are sad, others are deep with many meanings to them and some are like this one. It's all in what the reader finds and connects to in your words. What they find moves them. Very relatable and honest write. :)
