Loving You AgainA Poem by J. F. CharlestonYesterday was so long ago
When we said goodbye Turned our backs away from us I can still see that Grey Hound bus Drive away in a cloud of dust Once you were gone I started to love you again I kicked myself for being me I drank my life away for you Now I'm seeing you again Falling in love all over again Wanting to catch up like an old friend Talk with you until the night end I'm loving you all over again You came up to me at the bar Ordered your drink of whiskey And said I'm loving you again You wanted to have me again I'm loving you all over again Like I did back a year ago You took my hand in yours We got back from our tours In love's constant wars Gazing into your brown eyes Kissing your sweet, smooth lips Feel your heart beating with mine Makes me fall in love with you You took my broken self Put the pieces back in place When I couldn't bear to look At your broken face I know it's you I can't live without Honey, I'm in love with you I never fell out of love with you I just love loving you again © 2016 J.
