HopelessA Poem by J. F. Charleston
I cry alone at night
Where your memory lingers I can't help but think of you And the times we shared And our devastating fight Your voice replays in my head It's so beautiful yet teasing I couldn't get enough of it Now I wish I never heard it I still love you after everything After we fought for so long After our attempts to stay After we went separate ways I cry alone at night I die surrounded at day No one knows how bad It's a depressing sight I miss you every hour You cross my mind so often My heart aches for you But you don't trust it anymore So there's no use in trying All I can do now is cry Cry through the pain I brought upon us You never deserved any of this Any more hurt than you had I couldn't stop what I feared I still love you through it all You thought I never cared Thought I was full of lies Thought I wanted to hurt you None of that was true I still love you I miss you I care about you But you doubt me It's hopeless © 2015 J.
