College StationA Poem by J. F. Charleston
It seems so far away but so close
like time never lapsed and this new Ford is ready to finally run steadily away Now I'm on the road to somewhere I aint ever been, never experienced without her at my side, holdin' my hand to find myself, and then another Come on College Station I'm beggin' you to take me away from Houston to begin a new chapter in life with new hurt and peace I wanna be there when the bugle sounds remembered at Mustard with so many others who fought with the 12th Man on the field come on College Station don't ever yield I don't know what it'll be like but it's worth the adventure I'll meet a purty brunette one day and have the professor catch me off guard cause I was thinking about her pretty smile and hearing her telephone dial Now I'm on the road to somewhere I aint ever been, never experienced without her at my side, holdin' my hand to find myself, and then another Come on College Station I'm beggin' you to take me away from Houston to begin a new chapter in life with new hurt and peace I wanna be there when the bugle sounds remembered at Mustard with so many others who fought with the 12th Man on the field come on College Station don't ever yield © 2015 J.
