Ft. Worth, Texas

Ft. Worth, Texas

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Ft. Worth, Texas
There's one city in Texas
That interests me
Its a true part of me
It's a thrill to see

Ft. Worth, Texas
The home of the Legendary stockyards
And the heart of Texas ranching

I first gazed at her skyline
At my first Texas FFA convention
Her rich past caught my attention
Her first impression was so fine
She was filled with future
 Agriculturalists dressed up
In a blue and gold jacket

 Ft. Worth, Texas
The home of the Legendary stockyards
The heart of Texas ranching

 Many of my friends
Showed their heifers there
I can't wait to follow them
And step into the ring

 I was told the stories
 I saw the brilliance
 I felt the history

 Ft. Worth, Texas
The home of the Legendary stockyards
The heart of Texas ranching
