Some Ol Losers From Back Home

Some Ol Losers From Back Home

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Some ol losers from back home
Called me up and said come back
There ain't nothing for you there
I had to admit there wasn't

I'm going back to that loser class
Back to them fields and prairies
Back to them trucks and ferries
Randy meetin' me there,
I ain't lettin' off this gas

An old flame called me up
She said she missed me
And she wants me back
And them city girls weren't meant to be
I must admit she was right

There isn't no place I miss most
Than that old class of losers

My momma called me up
Said come on back,
I miss you like crazy
And this is where you need to be
I had to admit, there wasn't any other

I'm going back to that loser class
Back to them fields and prairies
Back to them trucks and ferries
Randy meetin' me there,
I ain't lettin' off this gas

I've been wearing this suit for too long
I can't stand these people
Their ways, and traffic
I need some losers like me
