When Midnight Comes AroundA Poem by J. F. Charleston
Midnight feels so alone
When this ole bed is cold and vacant I can't say that I Don't miss you That I don't miss What we had And our first kiss When midnight comes around I'm alone and dreaming of you Staring at the note you left on the old wood mirror And wishing you were here I thought I'd be able To live without you but I didn't count on you To haunt me so much To where there's one thing I can do Is to only miss every part of you Girl, you forgot these cigars That we lit up when we drank And did you forget the times We spent singin' to Hank When that old clock strikes twelve Your laugh fills my ears So soft and pleasing Your perfume tickles my nose the sweet and tangy aroma When midnight comes around I'm alone and dreaming of you Staring at the note you left on the old wood mirror And wishing you were here © 2013 J.
