Season of Broken HeartsA Poem by J. F. CharlestonThere can't be any reason Why I feel this way I guess it's the season The air is cold The wind blows And the leaves fall And empty arms that long to hold In the season of broken hearts Where relationships are terminated A time when people become hated And where they part Should these times be wasted Well it wouldn't hurt If you tasted what I tasted You would think so too She left on the 2nd of November The day was cold and wet My heart ached so bad it broke in two And it was a day I never want to remember It took me to other parts Across Texas, where I Couldn't run from her memory I thought my life was over as I stared in its eye Back in the season of broken hearts Don't say I'll get over it That she ain't worth it I already know that But my heart doesn't You'll never understand Until you've been through The season of broken hearts © 2013 J.
