Questions

Questions

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

If things were different
maybe I'd be different
maybe she'd be different
or would we be the same?

Can things ever advance
would they run
would they stay
or would they just stare blank
and wait for us

Is this where we're meant to be
are we to go separate ways
are we to stay together
or just float in life
with nothing to gain
and nothing to lose?

These are questions
I ask myself
but are there any answers
to these questions?

Wonderful poem! I will be reading the rest of your works! I love how the poem flits through the possibilities of each question, but never answers them. How true that there is never a true concrete answer to these questions! There isn't one same answer that will satisfy every person's question; it's something that we will have to figure out for ourselves.
I would also like to thank you for reviewing my poem!
