Ford

Ford

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

These wheels roll on
dirt and asphalt
in cities and towns
in the mountains
and to the beach

Ford, the truck
that brought me good luck
out in the middle of the night
and to the bank

My girl loves the power
of my Super Duty
I love her Mustang's speed
as we fly down the interstate

I've got a 6.7 Power Stroke
she's got a 5.8L Supercharged
together we're unstoppable

Ford, the van that I grew up in
family vacations
and my first date

It was big and green
power underneath the hood
and comfort inside

Ford, the only vehicle
that I love the most
the one to get me
to my payload
and to my girl
