Letter To YouA Poem by J. F. CharlestonIf a letter was all I could do to communicate with you I'd write it all the time
A piece of paper white or faded yellow with a pen or a pencil or just on a old typewriter
I'd tell you what I'm doin' and what I'm wishin' but most of all how much of you I'm missin'
If a letter was all I could do to communicate with you I'd write it all the time
It be written with the finest ink I could lay my hands on and be the neatest writing I'd ever do, if I had to write a letter to you
I'd tell you what I'm doin' and what I'm wishin' but most of all how much of you I'm missin'
This letter would be like no other it'd be the sweetest you'd ever read
If a letter was all I could do to communicate with you I'd write it all the time.
