I'm Worried

I'm Worried

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Hey, honey
what's going on?
is there another?
am I not being who I should be?

Tell me there isn't another
for my heart is all set for you
tell me what it is I'm not doing right
tell me what's put this smile
I see on your face so tight

I know I hadn't done much
to make you happy like this
but what's the thing?

Please forgive me
for being this way
it's just driving me nuts

I love that perfume of yours
you bought that?
how about the new smile?
I put it on? there's no way!

You knew I hadn't been ok?
I never told you...
... but you knew
so you got me worried
just to bring me back to you

Girl, you're so awesome!
thanks for kicking my butt
and putting me back on track

I love you and never will I
ignore how great you are.
