I'm AloneA Poem by J. F. CharlestonThe days are long they're hot and they fight my will to carry on Today, like every day, I'm alone and I glance around me at couples, smiling and laughing it fights my will to move forward I'm alone out here in this world, so beautiful it kills me to admit and to quit I watch a couple dance at this bar and never did I think that I'd be sittin here like some guy before me My bottle, cold and wet sit empty in the console of my truck, while I think of my luck after those girls I once met God, keep me movin on down this bumpy road down this detour called life bring me someone I can call my wife I'm alone and surviving off of dreams how am I suppose to live like I once wanted to but everything isn't what it had seamed So, let me sing about myself and how I don't have a love you can think about all the above but I can tell you it's not correct I'm alone out here on my own please, God let me be near the woman I wish I had because I'm so alone © 2013 J.
