Wild Horse in the Wind...

Wild Horse in the Wind...

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

I remember
the day I saw her face
how I could tell
what she was like

When our eyes met
a wild side
was burning bright

Her long legs
toned and tanned
were taking me
all the way gone

The little smile
on that face of hers

She loved everything
it was like she was free
but that was long ago

Now I hear her
in the breeze
her spirit rushes over me
like the way the wind
whipped pasted me as she rode

She's a wild horse
up in the sky
running free

I never cry
when I think about her
I ride around with her
and never will I forget

She wanted to be
a wild and free spirit
now forever shall she be...

I like this one a lot, gives you the impression of a wild spirit that can't be tamed....or a long lost loved one. Could take this so many places in my mind.

Tripped over the fourth verse, with face repeated, but that's just me. Otherwise, a good read.

This is a great poem about someone who has moved onto the next plane. Not crying but smiling about how you remember them. WIld and free. There are so many emotions poured out into this piece.
