God's Daughter...

God's Daughter...

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

I see her
I feel her
I need her

She is an angel
from the Lord
who found me
and brought me
out of darkness

She saw how
screwed up I was
I asked why she cared
and she said just because

I tried to leave
my life of darkness
but I was trapped
and she flew in
and snatched me out

Never did I think
that I'd have a woman
who loves me like her

She taught me
how to live
in the everlasting light

God showed up
with his arms open
waiting for me
to come and repent

I hold her hand
thanking Him
that he delivered
His daughter to save me...

I really don't know why I wrote this one and why I didn't use Jesus. Maybe God is giving me a hint that one of His daughters will save me from a life of darkness...

Speaking from one such dark corner.. as you know I dwell at times.. ;) Okay...I like the thought of which your poem is based on. I have a hard time reading pieces like this though... Sometimes I think I was forgotten ... though I breathe and my heart beats... Maybe we just need to believe ... have alittle faith ... not ask why just yet ... nod our head on occasion ... it all makes sense when you view how each second of time blends into hours...woven into days...stitched into weeks.. till you finally realize that the person in that mirror staring back at you is in truth one of His Angels...you only needed to turn on the light ... in turn chase away the shadows. Like I said I have trouble reading pieces like this one... :) But I like it as I do all of your pieces.

A beautiful and positive poem. I believe in Angels. I had many situations in my life. I was warned and turn from a wrong direction. Artwork and poetry was outstanding.

Thanks Coyote. Well I can't take credit for the picture. It is very cool.
Yeah, God's moves in mysterious ways yet it always lead us to a great life

Well, this is technically correct, but I'm not really a fan of the tone - it comes across as more slavishly devoted than anything else, which isn't very attractive, at least not in my opinion. While you do have a good concept, I wish you'd handled it differently.

My better half keeps me in check. If it weren't for God blessing me with her, I'd be in a heap of trouble. Happy Easter!
