The Musician's Psalm...

The Musician's Psalm...

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

The cold metal
around my lips
the clicks of time
waved from a figure

Hands are moist
body temp gaining
 unbreakable concentration
that nerves fight

Sound emits
from a series of valves
music now in flight
so bouncy and light
so moderately bright

Air a necessity
focus to the fullest
overwhelming joy
enhances effects

Notes play scenes in mind
chills and adrenalin
are released

Music is forever played
the player forever focused
rythms forever stay

A musician,
I forever shall be
never will the music
end for me...

I enjoyed the song. I wish I could sing. Lucky is the person who can write his own words. I agree with the poem. Music is life. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Ahhhh I adored this! As a fellow musician (and former sax player) I saw the beautiful paradox of intensity and peace in the wonderful poem:) Truly a masterpiece!
