Just Let Me Surrender

Just Let Me Surrender

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Everything feels like it's falling apart
a generic issue
coming to light
and one of my favorite hobbies
is a job without pay
than passion with good memories
I don't want to stay

Just let me surrender
give this up
cause I can't stand it

Illnesses keep me down
frustration overtakes
just all you see is a frown

Every time I go into
my director's office
I feel that I'm letting them down
with every thing that goes on

Please, I beg
take these things away
let me retire from this life
of pain and disappointment
move me to somewhere
I want to stay

A magical pill would be nice
three wishes from a jinni
these problems aren't tinny

I am so sick of this
everything going wrong
just let me surrender!
