A Sonnet on Memories in Heaven

A Sonnet on Memories in Heaven

A Poem by John Carver
"

Consider what an amazing thing it is that God is there to help us through remembering in heaven that our minds may be in tact for he is made even more useful to us.

BEST GIFTS MAKE GOD USEFUL

John, a son of God according to the will of Christ
With the glory the Father's as is his custom and way
We owe all to him and give him the glory as priced
Whether precious or noteworthy or leaves each day
In heaven I am told our memories to God are gold
But what are gold to us may not be so much to God
For though there is glory in giving us good I'm sold
There is more glory in all we've been through outlawed
For things he saved us from are more grand and his best
For what is better a murderer like Saul or Paul
He is there to help us deal with at our behest
A humbling thing to us a triumph in his call
To pull a brick from sludge and then be bold
And change it to purest silver, a thing to behold?
