MuseA Poem by JEngele
She's a muse
Her delicate features launched a thousand brush strokes A bat of an eyelash has you on a whim Your dedication knows no bounds Warm affection flows and surrounds A proud display you emanate This is what she's helped create Hoarse voice shouting encouragement You're the most amazing person she's ever met Until you see her quiet attention on another Wide doe eyes focused like there is no other She's a muse Her charm and manner Draws you in with subtle banter A waxing poet's subject: her Flowers sprout from her lips A promise lying between her hips She'll tease and play the day away To leave another begging she stay But something beckons a muse's soul As she has yet to find what makes her whole She's a muse Destined to wander from one to the next A sudden absence leaves them vexed Half finished works of art Left to wane in the growing dark Muses step with no regard For the ground behind They leave charred Their worry is for internal things No matter what the world does bring Take caution where caution is due Else a muse will denigrate you © 2015 JEngele |
