Allegorical ConfusionA Poem by JE FalconLooking at "The Allegory of the Cave" from a poetic angle and a today viewing.I was thunk-en with my thinker About the state that we are in Nations divided By the greed the consumes men. Then the lights, they came on That led me to believe That we've always been divided By some sort of Creed.
So I thunk-ed some more And came to the conclusion We see what is familiar Even dilution Made up by some Who want us to follow The shadows they make And their sounds, oh so hollow.
Where is it we dwell? "The Allegory of the Cave" Each captured group Slave after slave Prisoners of our eyes And the things that we hear Echo-chambers and dilutions Spoon fed by fear.
But when blinded by reality (Things out of our view) We stay where it's safe Where no shadow is new Where all that's required Is to stay in our cave Listening to the echos Meant for a slave.
