What a ShameA Poem by JE FalconA Riddle me this read, in a series of Limericks.I found a place on Pomegranate Lane And it suited me fine, minus the stain. I scrubbed it quite hard, With lye laden lard A toothbrush and Brillo, rubbed with the grain.
Well, I lived there for a while In the Bohemian style. Then my Rhapsody waned, And I was restrained For nobody's shoes could make it a mile.
Over time I did find A new state of mind A new demon in life That cut like a knife And placed me in a very bad bind.
So, I move away from Pomegranate Lane Just after that demon left a new stain. Yes, I sold at a loss And absorbed the cost Of a new box of Brillo. --- Oh, what a shame.
