Springtime Vertigo

Springtime Vertigo

A Poem by JE Falcon

There is springtime in the air

Like a thinly veiled disguise,

Like a pixie playing spinning games.

'Tis vertigo, I surmise.

We need not be alarmed

Or to look for places to hide,

Just find a field of scented flowers

And let your spirit take the ride.

Yes, springtime fills the air

And no matter how winter tries

Things will blossom and love will see

A kind of Vertigo in its eyes.

This poem reminded of something that caught my attention yesterday. I noticed ABC has a channel devoted to good news. All the good in the world. So much more of it than the bad but the bad can't beat the good ... in us! The evil spinning around us does feel like vertigo though, for sure!

Ah, William, 'tis true. Good is better.
Springtime makes people playful, teasing, full of life..."like a pixie playing spinning games..."the scent of flowers will make your spirit come alive....eyes brighten to a to a vertigo flash.
Nice write.

The joy of a field of flowers in spring. I thought of Wordsworth's Daffodils and my heart sang.

Ah, singing hearts and smiling faces is a place for playful pixies. :)
Spring's beauty tends to make me dizzy...
and even in the fall of my life...some of those flowers keep blooming just for lovely spite.
