Limericks of the Ages

Limericks of the Ages

A Poem by JE Falcon

There once was a man who thought he was great

The path he walked he felt was straight

But the way he went

Was crooked and bent

Peppered with greed, lies, and hate.

JE Falcon

He became an oppressor in a benevolent mask

Then the people rose up to take him to task.

They threw the bum out

But without a doubt

They'll elect another who is worse than the last.

JE Falcon

Some move on and others will never

Their tears of sadness flow as a river

Across their world

Darkness unfurled

With such intensity that it makes one shiver.

JE Falcon
