Oh Lassie

you are sexy and sassy

and too much for me I fear

Dear

Years past

I was lean and mean and fast

now the years have slipped on by

Sigh

I love the shortness of these poems how they capture one scene or image in a wild way. The first poem reminds me of a wildly creative woman thats hard to keep up with, a racing mind never slowing down! The 2nd makes me think of aging. When we are young we are fast and efficient but when we get old we are slower.

I never care too much of form but I do enjoy structure and subject. These overflow with ancient and quirky mood and wisdom.

Thanks, Jacob, we gave it a go, you-know. :)
After the first, had to see the second. As for the first one, I can totally identify, a woman has a way of humbling the best of us...lol.

As for the second, well, we may be of similar age. It hit too close to home.

Brilliant!

We all get there sooner or later, LOL, and it's a durn shame. :) --- Thanks for dropping by!
I really like how you managed a complete story in 18 syllables with both. And the two together complete the poor guy's tale and the second explains the first. Well written wings of words JE!

Thanks, William.
I loved them both. Fast paced and fun
and cut on wit. As it should be.
