Chasing Joy

Chasing Joy

A Poem by JE Falcon
"

Some rhyming quatrains, narrated.

"

I saw something luminescent, floating in the air,

And I couldn't help it, I just had to stare.

It looked dangerous, as small things fare,

So I followed as it drifted, from here to there.

As I followed the substance, while it drifted around,

I saw it was descending, heading for ground.

It was very lightweight and nearly perfectly round

So I popped it with my finger. It was a bubble, I found.

My Grandchildren blew others, they like to share,

And we couldn't help it, we just had to stare.

These bubbles had colors, as colored things fare,

So we ran around chasing them, from here to there.

Now you are talking. All kids love the fun of blowing bubbles and some adults do too. Yes, you guessed it, I still do it from time to time :) Visually pleasing and your poem warmed my heart Falcon.

Thank You, Jacob, so happy that you were able to join our bubble day.
I like watching bubbles float through the air, especially if the wind plays with them. We are having a very windy day today. Gusts hitting about 35mph. It blew over our neighbor's summer swing twice and sent the cushions flying. My daughter and I retrieved them only to see it happen again. (laughing) She has a little bubble gun like a water pistol that she loves, you pull the trigger and the insides light up as it blows bubbles. But we didn't try it today because I got hit in the face with a piece of flying debris and decided it was time to come inside. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing. F.
