MIXED - 5-7-5

A Poem by JE Falcon
"

Senryu, Haiku, and heaven knows what else. LOL

"

The self-driving car

Left us stranded at the curb

UBER-leave-er-er *** JEF

We dance the Tango

Dramatically we travel

Perfection we seek *** JEF

The basic black dress

Matching leather rhinestone clutch

Pearls, hip-belt, and heels *** JEF

She was as a mist

So alluring and un-kissed

Then her smile touched me. *** JEF

I had many doubts

When he said, “I love you, Jane.”

Her name is Wanda. *** JEF

I think the one word 'mist' and 'pearl' are the only words that might be found in haiku. As Senryu this is great! I love stringing them together like you have as a complete story. Scary to think about our roads populated by self driving vehicles wondering if a computer can look 3 or 4 cars ahead and anticipate the stupid thing somebody's about to do. Even scarier to come in for a misty, smiling kiss.

An interesting collage of words. Her name was Wanda, huh? Now there's a slap in the face just waiting to happen!😉
Well written.

I could not stop laughing at that last one. As a person who is horrible with names I can totally relate. I can't begin to tell you how many time I have called my ex girlfriends by different names. "You" became my favorite go to word during relationships. No matter how awkward I would use it in a sentence to describe them. I still cringe at my stupidity for not memorizing names.
